He's a She??

Last night as we were busy getting ready for Conexion Travis called me and was saying.
"Rosey we have bunnies! I don't know who had them. They fell through the bottom of the mesh cage and were laying on the ground."
He had found them under the "males" cage. We were keeping 2 "males" in the same cage. Travis had the bunnies all put in a nesting box already and then we had to find a place to put them with their mother. We figured out that Herbert Meninger is not male, but female so we put the other 2 females together in one cage and the new mother in one of the cages with her bunnies.

The new room mates were less than impressed with the new living quarters and have some blood on the side of the cage to show the results of an all out brawl.  Tomorrow Travis is planning to get another cage so we can separate the 2 ladies, even if they seem to have come to a bit of a truce right now.

It's exciting to see our "farming" actually start.  Before this we have had a few litters that have not survived. We are breeding the others. One "should" be having a litter next week wednesday, and the other we bred today. Trav calculated that from the 3 mothers we could have 45 bunnies in the next 6 months if our farming goes well...
