Pronounciation 101

Some people are wondering "How do you pronounce his name anyways?"

Moisés Santiago

Moisés
Moi - like "toy" but with an M

sés - like "ses" in "sesame"

The "sés" also carries the stress in the word so it is moiSÉS and not MOIsés.

Santiago
San - Technically the n is pronounced as part of the second syllable but for simplicity we
will leave it with the 1st syllable. The "a" is pronounce kind of like the "a" in "father".

tia - the "ia" is pronounced like a quick Mennonite "ya" or the "ya" in "yahoo".
The "tia" carries the stress in the word so it is sanTIAgo

go - like the "go" in "gopher". Nice and short.

Some people are wondering if they can call him Moe or Moses. Sure, but we can't guarantee that he will respond :)
