about time for another blog eh?

It seems that we've been pretty busy lately, one of these days we'll get a prayer letter out but for now a blog will have to do.

Last week we had two days of meeting and my dad left for Canada on Friday.

Saturday we went to Escobar, which is the little town close to where we started to study Guarani today. (For those of you who don't know, we will studying Guarani full time for the next 10 weeks or so) We went to get to know the babysitter who will be taking care of Zipporah while we are in class four hours five days a week. She seems nice and Zipporah didn't seem too upset to spend the morning with her.

We spent the afternoon Saturday and today cruising the streets of Paraguari looking for a house to rent. That right, looks like we'll be on the move again. The school where we will be studying is about 1:15 drive from our house while the city of Paraguari is only about 15 minutes. It has been decided that once we finish our studies in December we won't be working in Ytororõ again so moving makes more sense now.

We are looking at a house on Thursday, from what we can tell, it might be one of only two options as far as houseing goes in paraguari. Please pray that the house would be what we are looking for.

Saturday night, Travis led the bible study with the youth in ytororõ and Rosey led the bible study with the women.

Sunday was much more relaxing. We went to the home of one of the church families and had a delicious tallarin ( a paraguayan noodle/tomato sauce dish). We really enjoyed spending a few hours with them. Then we came home for a long siesta, the first in a long long time.

And today we had class. We have a real challenge ahead of us. I think it is going to take a real effort to learn Guarani, especially since we already know spanish and know that we can always go back to it (at least with most people). I talked with one man today who didn't know any Spanish, and we understood enough from each other to figure out what I wanted to know.

I guess that's a quick update about what we are up to.
