Holiday

Today was a national holiday in Paraguay. Boquerón Battle Victory Day. It has something to do with the beginning of the end of the Chaco war.

One family in our church recently sold their house (they had already moved to a different one) and had to clean out the last of their stuff this morning so I (Travis) went at 6:30 (holidays are not just about sleeping in) to help move all this stuff. We got that out of the way and then the real party started.

To celebrate this great victory in the chaco, most of the church went to Hernán and Landis' house to hang out. We played video games (a friend showed me TrackMania Nations for PC and I'm in the process of getting some guys hooked on it) , uno, dominoes, soccer . . . and we ate asado (BBQ). Even with the thunder clouds hanging around we had fun and stayed dry.
