For a few months, Rosey has been talking about getting a wagon made. Last November the ladies in Kleefeld held a baby shower for Moi and Zippy (because we had been in Paraguay when they were born) and this what they money they gave us got spent on. The kids are really enjoying it. They climb in and out of it all day long and constantly want us to pull them around in it. Rosey has wanted a wagon because it was hard for her to walk anywhere with both kids. Moi could still go in the stroller, but Zippy does not like walking more than one block. Now she can go anywhere in town with them. There is lots of room to bring home whatever she buys at the market too.
Does it look like we went overboard, that we got carried away in the planning stages? The wheels are 14" wheelbarrow wheels, but with the bumpy stone roads here, anything smaller would be quite hard to pull. The large wheels made us have to raise the box higher. Putting the box higher made us have to make the wagon wider (60 cm) so that it would not be too tippy. The steering system we used made the wagon longer than we had first thought (120 cm), otherwise the front wheels would always be hitting the chassis.
Anyways, this is what we gave the kids for "Día del niño" or "Children's day".
