Marriage Retreat

The group in one of the sessions. We were only 9 couples.

Together with 2 Other couples we have been planning a marriage retreat for the last few months, This marriage retreat took place this weekend.
One of the speakers Pastor Jorge.

Although fewer couples came than we were expecting we still had a super time. Our friends trying to eat an apple without their hands.

We really felt that all our sessions were very valuable to our marriages, the speakers talked in a very down to earth and applicable manner. At the end of one of the sessions we had a "practical part" as Trav likes to call it with a smirk on his face. All the men had to write down the qualities that they liked about their wife. Then all the men left the room and came back one at a time and told their wife which qualities they liked, and gave them a rose and a kiss. Trav wrote me a great poem in guarani, just to get out of being super sappy in front of everybody. And then they put on some romantic music and we were all supposed to dance... or at least hug for 3 minutes till the song was over.
And whats a retreat without good food? mmmm Pizza

Finding a place for Zippy was almost the most stressful part of the weekend because kids weren't allowed, but I found I could concentrate 10 times better without her there. It was soo relaxing and Zippy had a great time. They said she didn't even cry once, and slept the whole night. I almost left her there.
