Mennonite world conference

We just spent Tuesday to Sunday in Asuncion at the Mennonite World Conference. While it was a long week away from home, I think it was worth going to. Having Zippy along for the ride complicated some things. We had to try to keep her entertained during the 2 hour sessions and we had to find a place for her to get her afternoon nap in. The nap issue resulted in not being able to attend any of the workshops in the afternoons, which was a little disappointing.

The 15 member international music team led us in songs in at least 6 languages and there were special numbers by groups from all over the world.

The morning sessions had Bible studies while the evening sessions had a sermon.

I was a little disappointed . . 6000 Mennonites together for 6 days and not one single Mennonite joke! Oh well.

On another note, Zippy has hand, foot, and mouth disease. She has blisters on her hands and feet and her mouth is really sore. Needless to say she is "pire vai", which is Guarani for ugly skin (it means she's cranky). Please pray for her.
