Update on Zipporah

We have had lot's of emails asking how Zipporah's appointment went, and because we seem to be extremely busy, I decided to just put an update on the blog.

On monday morning we had the appointment with the neurologist for children. She asked lots of questions about when the shaking happened and her development. Then she looked at Zipporah and checked her reflexes and development herself. She said that Zipporah looks like a completely healthy baby and since we have not been noticing anything abnormal in her development(except for the shaking)she said she highly doubts it would be epilepsy, but she wants to know for sure. She sent us to do exams. I don't even have an idea of the names of all the exams we need to do. For one of them Zipporah needed to be sleeping deep for half an hour, we tried to do it on Monday but she refused to go to sleep, so we went again on Tuesday. She needed to be sleepy so we didn't let her sleep all morning. By the time we got to the appointment at 11:00 she was so tired that she couldn't keep her eyes open. I was playing with her and tickling her to keep her awake, she kept smiling but had her eyes closed... she did end up sleeping well for the exam. They attatched 26 little wires to her head and watched her brain waves or something. It was interesting.

Then we had to do something like 11 blood samples. Zipporah did good she just cried at first and then she stopped. (so they told me, I wasn't in the room)

On Monday we have one more exam to do, an ultrasound of her brain. And then we can go back to the neurologist and get the results.

Thank you so much everyone for all your prayers. Please continue to pray for Zipporah.
