. . . we like to make lemonade.
So it was about 19:30 (7:30 p.m.). The sun is setting, and since the power was out we were outside enjoying the weather. Birds chirping, the dogs barking, the neighbors talking, Zipporah crying.
Ah yes, Zipporah, she didn't want to go to bed. Although she was tired, she decided to cry rather than sleep. That is the lemons.
So Rosey decided to make lemonade.
The previous evening we had celebrated Day of the enamoured (that's what Valentines day is called here) and the drink had been Mburucuya (pasion fruit) juice mixed with lemon juice. A good combination if you add a lot of sugar as both fruits are sour in a different way. That's where the craving for the lemonade came from.
Luckely, lemons are in season and, although our tree doesn't have lemons that are big enough to squeeze, there is an empty lot nearby with 5 or 6 trees (all lemon trees too). Since Zipporah was crying (the lemon part) we decided to go for a walk (the lemonade part) since that calms her down and it was such a nice evening.
We picked the lemons and by the time we got home, the zipster was fast asleep. And we squeezed our lemonade.
you guys make me laugh with your names for zipporah. hey, wanna design us a blog?? we know what we want...
